Let’s talk – Animal Prints

With this post we take animal prints to a whole new level because it’s not the usual leopard or cheetah prints that make some people cringe, this time it’s different. 🙂
My sister and I have a collection of indo western kurtis with some of the most unique and quirky animal prints. It’s truly one of its kind and I am so excited to post this now when we need it the most. The monsoons are here in full swing making us hold our heads in ‘fashion frustration’ and we have a cure. 😉
Let’s beat this one by playing with colours and animal prints that can pump up your mood on a gloomy day.

Look 1 – Reindeer and Polar Bears
While my sister decides to pair a red chudidar with her green reindeer kurti, I planned on wearing my blue polar bear kurti as a dress. The kurtis are not only vibrant because of the prints and the colour contrast but also because of the golden zip that adds an element of bling to the attire.

Look 2 – Birdies!
Birdie prints can add life to the dullest of shades. In the first picture, a print of greyish-brown birds on a base of dark blue can look dull but not with an orange string attached to it. The colour stands out on the shoulders and the waist. This one can be worn on any kind of bottoms – leggings, denims, salwar or just like a short dress! Here is how we wore it to play in the rains!

The second one has a brighter base of blue and the brightest of bird prints. 😀
Isn’t the kurti “colourful” colourful with that bright yellow Patiala matching up to the birdies?
